Purpose

As a child, I was taught the importance of taking care of my skin. I would watch my mother as she applied cleanser, toner, moisturizers, to her skin and I was so proud of how beautiful and youthful she looked. 

Years later, as a Licensed Esthetician and Make-up Artist, and having worked as Head Make-up Artist for CNN and other international media organizations, it gave me a unique opportunity to do makeup for everyone from Hollywood stars to Heads of State. In other words, I was able to see what all these beautiful people looked like without makeup. I was surprised to discover that many of them just weren’t taking good care of their skin….and for me, the skin is a canvas. Ask any great painter and they’ll tell you that if you start with a great canvas, you can make a masterpiece. The greatest painters in the world had to prepare their canvas before they ever brought out the brushes – it’s called priming the canvas. I like to think of myself as the Rembrandt of rejuvenation. I see beauty inside everyone. It’s there. Great skincare just brings it to the surface. 

What most people don’t understand is that skin is skin regardless of skin type, color, gender or age. Many products are available for specific concerns, such as fair skin and dark skin, oily or dry, combination skin, and of course, products developed “specifically” for men or women. I saw there was a need for products designed for all skin types, colors, gender, and age. That’s what led me to create the Antoinette Alexander™ Signature Collection, a line of skin care that is universal and can be used by all. 

The second reason for creating the Antoinette Alexander™ Signature Collection is that, in order for any skincare product to be effective, it has to be able to penetrate the skin. Unfortunately, a lot of the products on the market aren’t able to get through the top layers of skin. My Elixir skincare formula uses the most efficacious ingredients and encapsulating active ingredients in an amazing timed- release delivery system called MICROSOMES™.
